Since I was very young, I have had aspirations of becoming a dentist. It all started when at the age of five, I had a four hour long root canal procedure. Since I lived in the USSR there was NO anesthesia used and my mother couldn't even be by my side. Hearing my sobs of pain from the waiting room she lost consciousness shortly before I did. After that horrible experience, I vowed to never let that happen to anyone! At that moment my odd but well intentioned dream was born. I am proud to say that now my dream has become reality. This is an exciting time in my life and I want to share my passion for dentistry with you in our practice.
Dr. Dan Kazachkov attended Tufts School of Dental Medicine, one of the world's most renowned dental education programs. Dr. Dan also attained a Fellowship from the American Dental Implant Association and belongs to many accredited dental institutions. He takes extensive continuing education courses in esthetic and implantology dentistry, from luminaries such as Dr. Frank Spear, Dr. Lindsey Pankey, Dr.Arun Garg and Dr. Noshir Metah.
I am one of the lucky people that can say my career chose me! Dentistry was part of my life growing up with a father as a dentist and a sister as a dental hygienist. However, these were not the reasons why I chose my profession. At the age of four on a cold, snowy Wisconsin day, I had a sledding accident. The results were a lacerated tongue, loss of a baby tooth, and damage to an adult tooth. My dental treatment has spanned most of my life because of that one afternoon. As I grew older, I realized my passion for helping people who were not as lucky as I was to grow up in a dental family. This experience has given me empathy for those individuals who have experienced similar dental trauma or suffer from a dental fear. My goal is to perform painless dentistry and connect with my patients on a personal level to provide their desired care.
Tufts University School of Dental Medicine gifted me an acceptance letter on my birthday. From the moment I moved to the east coast, I fell in love with the city of Boston and met my husband the first day of orientation week. Since graduating from dental school, I have proudly served as a Naval dental officer and in the process I have explored different states!
Some of my guilty pleasures include trying new restaurants, pilates, and spending time with my family and friends. To me, "family is where your heart lives, your memories exist, your laughter is plentiful, and your soul is safe." I am blessed to say that two of my best friends are my mother and my husband.
Having been a patient in the dental chair many times throughout my life, I understand that having a trustworthy dentist is extremely important. I have been through many dental procedures and I use those experiences to better explain and help patients understand the importance of oral health. Most importantly, I know that having "bad teeth" does not mean they are beyond repair! I am enthusiastic about giving my patients hope in the midst of the most grim circumstances.
I grew up in Toyko, Japan and moved across the globe to complete my undergraduate education at Brandeis University. After receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Biology, I realized my love for Boston was too great and began working at a research laboratory in Boston's Children's Hospital. I then attended Boston University School of Dental Medicine where I earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree and graduated magna cum laude. I have taken numerous continuing education courses in order to stay up-to-date on new and efficient dental procedures. I am also a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Dental Association.
When I am not practicing dentistry, I love to explore new and exciting places to eat. However, if the weather is nice, you can find me outdoors skiing or hiking.
"Before coming to the United States, I practiced restorative dentistry in a highly populated city in China. Although the fast-paced clinical practice prepared me well as a prosthodontist, I was disconcerted by the lack of time to communicate with my patients. I strongly believe that everyone is a unique being and there should be no exception to individually tailored dental care. Therefore, I moved to the United States with the aspiration to provide quality and ethical care based on thorough communication and mutual understanding."

In my spare time you will find me with my family, significant other and friends. I am a huge animal lover and have a Shetland sheepdog named Pearl.
After volunteering at my dental office, from age twelve through high school, I excitedly applied to Dental Hygiene school. I graduated from Bristol Community College in 1984. I still enjoy my career, after 30+ years in the field.
I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, children and my puppy Cocoa. I enjoy a wide variety of crafts and cooking.
I walked into the world of dentistry at the age of twenty-one. Over the years my knowledge and love for the profession has only intensified. My favorite part of being a dental assistant is helping our patients feel welcome and comfortable throughout their visit. Dental Arts of Westwood has a diverse population of patients and I enjoy building relationships with each of them to personalize their individual experiences at our office.
Outside of assisting, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to travel and explore the outdoors.
After graduating from Blue Hills Regional High School in 2011, I attended the dental assisting program at Everest Institute College. Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. A few things that I am passionate about would include cooking, dancing and traveling. As long as you have a good group of people by your side, anything can be fun!
I graduated from Porter and Chester in 2016. After completing my internship with Dental Arts, I officially became part of the wonderful team! Every day I learn something new and that is one of the things that I love most about this job. Dental Arts has taught me more than I have ever expected to learn from a dental office. I look forward to the many years ahead and all the new experiences I will have.
In my spare time I enjoy being with my family, friends and long weekends in the Cape.
After High School I attended Bristol Community College while working at a daycare in my hometown. In 2017 I graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Lincoln Technical Institute. I love being a dental assistant because I like helping people and constantly learning new things.

After working with children in ECE I decided to change career paths. As a recent graduate from Lincoln Tech, I am happy to be part of the Dental Arts of Westwood team. I enjoy meeting new people and I pride myself on creating a sense of comfort in what can potentially be a stressful visit for patients.
When I’m not at work I like to spend time with my friends and family, as well as singing and reading true crime books.
I started working at Dental Arts of Westwood back in January 2016. I had never worked in the dental field before and this has been a wonderful learning experience. Dr. Dan and Dr. Shauna have been nothing but loving and caring towards their employees; I can say that this is a place where I want to stay and grow throughout my career.
I am married and have a very cute daughter. During my free time I enjoy doing arts and crafts as well as spending quality time with my family.
I was born and raised in Wisconsin, recently I moved to the Massachusetts area. Growing up with a dentist for a Dad I never had those scary stories about going to the dentist because he always made it fun. I graduated college with my Bachelors in Biology and years later I went back to become certified to teach Biology in middle school and high school. My love for science has followed my all the way to Dental Arts of Westwood. My sister and brother-in-law own Dental Arts of Westwood making it both fun and rewarding working for the family business!
I have been in the dental field for over 7 years and have been very blessed to have had the opportunity to learn different specialties from pediatrics and orthodontics to periodontics and oral surgery. Being at Dental Arts since moving back home from Miami in 2016 has been by far the greatest experience.
The team at Dental Arts makes work enjoyable and fun. We strive to give our patients the best and most memorable, painless dental experience by building relationships and treat patients with the utmost care. I feel very blessed to be part of the Dental Arts family and look forward to growing alongside such wonderful individuals!
I started working in the dental field three years ago as just a job while attending nursing school, but I did not realize I would find my true passion. I enjoy building relationships with my patients, explaining their treatment plan options and easing any fears they may have in regards to their dental treatment. Working with such a caring and professional group of people at Dental Arts of Westwood is my favorite part of being a financial coordinator. They have become like a second family to me.
I recently graduated with an Associate Degree in Science as a Registered Nurse from Bunker Hill College. I plan on incorporating the care and knowledge I have gained from my degree at Dental Arts of Westwood.
I was born and raised in Albania. Eleven years ago when I moved to Massachusetts, I quickly fell in love with the city and the people of Boston. I have an amazing three year old daughter who inspires me every day. I graduated from Quinsigamond Community College in 2013 with a certificate in dental assisting and an Associate’s degree. I went on to complete all necessary boards to become a CDA. I enjoy constantly learning new things, especially from the patients that enter the office. My passion and growth in the dental field, along with my leadership skills, have helped me achieve the role of an office manager. One of my favorite things about Dental Arts is the relationships that we strive to have with each of our patients. We have a family environment that extends to the staff as well, which makes us unique.
When I am not assisting, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, crafting and cooking.
