Since I was very young, I have had aspirations of becoming a dentist. It all started when at the age of five, I had a four hour long root canal procedure. Since I lived in the USSR there was NO anesthesia used and my mother couldn't even be by my side. Hearing my sobs of pain from the waiting room she lost consciousness shortly before I did. After that horrible experience, I vowed to never let that happen to anyone! At that moment my odd but well intentioned dream was born. I am proud to say that now my dream has become reality. This is an exciting time in my life and I want to share my passion for dentistry with you in our practice.
Dr. Dan Kazachkov attended Tufts School of Dental Medicine, one of the world's most renowned dental education programs. Dr. Dan also attained a Fellowship from the American Dental Implant Association and belongs to many accredited dental institutions. He takes extensive continuing education courses in esthetic and implantology dentistry, from luminaries such as Dr. Frank Spear, Dr. Lindsey Pankey, Dr.Arun Garg and Dr. Noshir Metah.
I am one of the lucky people that can say my career chose me! Dentistry was part of my life growing up with a father as a dentist and a sister as a dental hygienist. However, these were not the reasons why I chose my profession. At the age of four on a cold, snowy Wisconsin day, I had a sledding accident. The results were a lacerated tongue, loss of a baby tooth, and damage to an adult tooth. My dental treatment has spanned most of my life because of that one afternoon. As I grew older, I realized my passion for helping people who were not as lucky as I was to grow up in a dental family. This experience has given me empathy for those individuals who have experienced similar dental trauma or suffer from a dental fear. My goal is to perform painless dentistry and connect with my patients on a personal level to provide their desired care.
Tufts University School of Dental Medicine gifted me an acceptance letter on my birthday. From the moment I moved to the east coast, I fell in love with the city of Boston and met my husband the first day of orientation week. Since graduating from dental school, I have proudly served as a Naval dental officer and in the process I have explored different states!
Some of my guilty pleasures include trying new restaurants, pilates, and spending time with my family and friends. To me, "family is where your heart lives, your memories exist, your laughter is plentiful, and your soul is safe." I am blessed to say that two of my best friends are my mother and my husband.
Having been a patient in the dental chair many times throughout my life, I understand that having a trustworthy dentist is extremely important. I have been through many dental procedures and I use those experiences to better explain and help patients understand the importance of oral health. Most importantly, I know that having "bad teeth" does not mean they are beyond repair! I am enthusiastic about giving my patients hope in the midst of the most grim circumstances.
I grew up in Toyko, Japan and moved across the globe to complete my undergraduate education at Brandeis University. After receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Biology, I realized my love for Boston was too great and began working at a research laboratory in Boston's Children's Hospital. I then attended Boston University School of Dental Medicine where I earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree and graduated magna cum laude. I have taken numerous continuing education courses in order to stay up-to-date on new and efficient dental procedures. I am also a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Dental Association.
When I am not practicing dentistry, I love to explore new and exciting places to eat. However, if the weather is nice, you can find me outdoors skiing or hiking.
"Before coming to the United States, I practiced restorative dentistry in a highly populated city in China. Although the fast-paced clinical practice prepared me well as a prosthodontist, I was disconcerted by the lack of time to communicate with my patients. I strongly believe that everyone is a unique being and there should be no exception to individually tailored dental care. Therefore, I moved to the United States with the aspiration to provide quality and ethical care based on thorough communication and mutual understanding."

After several years of private practice, he continues to take many continuing education courses to provide the best care for his patients. He enjoys staying active in the dental community as the Treasurer of the Middlesex District Dental Society and the MA Comprehensive Dentistry Study Club.
As much as he appreciates his time with his patients, he also loves spending time outdoors with his family and friends. He loves running, snowboarding, and reading on the patio with his two cats.
Ever since my first dental service trip to Ecuador, I knew I wanted to pursue the field of dentistry. After assisting my father with a difficult extraction on a child, it was life changing for both the patient and I! The gratitude that the mother expressed to us for getting her son out of pain is something that has still impacted me to this day. I am from Gainesville, Florida, where I graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. degree in Biology. After being admitted to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, I was ecstatic to start a new life in Boston.
While at Tufts Dental School, I was involved in a variety of clubs and organizations. I was President of Tufts’ Academy of General Dentistry club and well as Vice President of Hispanic Dental Association. Through HDA, I went with a large group of Tufts students and faculty each year to the Dominican Republic to offer free dental care to underserved populations. In addition, I was inducted into the Tufts’ Honos Civicus honor society for my extensive community service throughout dental school. Although I enjoyed the patient centered care aspect of working in the psych field for 10yrs, I am excited to transition into the dental field. After completing a rigorous hygiene program at Bristol community college I am happy to be a part of the dental arts of Westwood team. I enjoy helping others and creating a stress free environment where anxiety and nerves have the potential to be high. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and driving.
I walked into the world of dentistry at the age of twenty-one. Over the years my knowledge and love for the profession has only intensified. My favorite part of being a dental assistant is helping our patients feel welcome and comfortable throughout their visit. Dental Arts of Westwood has a diverse population of patients and I enjoy building relationships with each of them to personalize their individual experiences at our office.
Outside of assisting, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to travel and explore the outdoors.
After graduating from Blue Hills Regional High School in 2011, I attended the dental assisting program at Everest Institute College. I love being a dental assistant because I enjoy facing new challenges each and every day. I try to make sure all of my patients are in good spirits at the end of their visit with us.
Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. A few things that I am passionate about would include cooking, dancing and traveling. As long as you have a good group of people by your side, anything can be fun!
I graduated from Porter and Chester in 2016. After completing my internship with Dental Arts, I officially became part of the wonderful team! Every day I learn something new and that is one of the things that I love most about this job. Dental Arts has taught me more than I have ever expected to learn from a dental office. I look forward to the many years ahead and all the new experiences I will have.
In my spare time I enjoy being with my family, friends and long weekends in the Cape.

After working in cosmetics for the past seven years I decided it was time to start a new chapter in life. I still wanted to know I was doing something to help others and make them feel their best, so I decided being a dental assistant would allow me to do that while also challenging myself.
When I’m not in the office you can find me spending time with my family and friends, and enjoying live music.
After I graduated Franklin High School in 2017, I completed a dental assisting program at New England Dental Academy in 2018. Dental Arts took me in as an intern while I was attending school and gave me so many learning opportunities. After completing my hours Dental Arts hired me full time. I love my job because I love helping patents be happy with their smile and dental visit. During my free time I like to spend time with friends and family.
I have been in the dental field since July 2016 and throughout my career, I have been striving to continue learning about the ever-transforming dental field. With Dr. Dan and Dr. Shauna by my side, I am continually progressing in my knowledge of dentistry, and now cosmetic dentistry. I can say that this is a place where I want to stay and grow throughout my career.
When I'm not working, I enjoy baking and doing makeup on friends and family.
I have been with the Dental Arts team for a couple months and it has been the best decision I have made. I was never really a fan on the dentist before, but always wanted to work at a dental office; and I am so glad I chose to work here. The work environment is friendly and fun which makes it not seem like work!
Aside from working I like to spend time with my friends and family, as well as my 5 dogs, watch Patriots games, going to concerts and shopping!
